White on my Cory catfish

It looks like there is white around the mouth as well as a couple spots on the fins of my Corey catfish. We've had the tank about 4 months. We treated ich once a while ago and it went away. I believe this is definitely something else. Everyone else in the tank looks healthy. A couple days ago we added a nerite snail and ghost shrimp.

Although the pictures are of good quality, there is not sufficient detail of the relevant area to really see what it is. Regardless, your Cory is not a Corydoras but a Brochis, a nice one too.

Oh thanks. Ha! The fish store had them labeled as green corydoras. I'll have to keep an eye on it to see if it develops more. His or her mouth looks very fuzzy.

Brochis (you are right) since some time are called Corydoras again (for as long as it takes)

The damage probably is due to the substrate.
