hey all

was just wondering can white cloud minnows be kept in warmer water (25-26 dgreees celcius) or can they only survive in the cooler waters.

sorry for the nooby question

thanks

sean.

they live quite happily in warm water but they will age quicker. This means they will die of old age much sooner than if they were kept in cool water.

my white clouds are happy in my tropical aquarium
they are approaching 2 years old now so dont know how long they will last but been in there for a month so far and are really happy and have started breeding :)
my temp is 25-26 degrees
some places you search on the internet say 18-26 degrees but will survive as low as 5 degrees others say 26 is too hot but all i can say is my fish have got really colourful since putting them in the warmer tank

I had a white cloud for about a year that I had to rehome to a different aquarium because the poor thing was being bullied...unfortunately, after the move, it died after four months. So while they will age faster, they will be able to live in both tropical and coldwater.
