Hiya, I do a water change about every 5 days of 50% and i do a new setup about every week or longer, I'm doing a water change today and doing a new set up, because im going to be doing this and messing around in the tank, is it ok to take my betta out and put him in a container big enough for him to swim in for about half an hour?
Also is it ok to take planted plants out if you wish to move them around in the tank, or is it best to leave them where they are to further their roots?
Thanks.

Yes you can do both of these. It's a good idea to have a spare tank ( like a big plastic critter keeper or big clear plastic storage box ) into which you can transfer your plants, betta and heater while you leave your flter running, do your water change and move stuff around.

Mind you don't break too many roots on the plants though.

With a lot of plants its actually a good idea to cut the roots if you move them, it will promote new root growth and allow the plant to secure itself in its new location.

The temps at a steady 79.
Its only at night i see the heat light come on sometimes, but theres no drastic temp changes. :)
