Is now at University! :D
Went home this weekend to find my rummynoses infected with worms (presumably anchor worms).
So first thing I did was order medication (after spending ages finding the right one...as in one that wouldn't wipe out the filter).
Then found out none of them are safe with inverts so had to set up my aqua40 for...5 Amano Shrimp, 4 Cherrys a few MTS and 1 Apple snail.
Opened up my external and got the aqua40 filter, rubbed it all over all the filter media layers, tried to put a bit of gunk on it and filled the centre with ceramic noodles.
Stuck it in the tank and set everything going overnight. Wake up the next day (Sunday), checked the water. 0.25ammonia and 0 nitrites!
*Pulls hair out*
So did lots of water changes. Then got my dad to test it today and it's at 1ppm... He's going to do a large change.
But seriously, I did my damndest to get the thing seeded and that's what I get for my efforts. I still figured that 'definite death' vs 'possible death' then possible death it still the better option. And seachem prime is the dechlor I use. So fingers crossed.
I hate being at Uni when things like this are happening back home.
