"I'm a noble/grand looking tree and i'm a common symbol of strength and endurance

Squirrels love me

I'm a national tree in many countries"

Oak. Here is mine( kinda hard)

I can grow to over 100 feet. My bark flakes off very easily. I am a fast growing tree. My leaves are broad and the new ones are soft like cotton. I am named after a famous city.

Meh...Any clues? Like what colours are its flowers or where is the tree native in the world?

Edit: Is it a redwood tree? There is a place called Redwood City i believe.
