What To Stock A 48 X 12 X14?

I have just picked up a tank the size of which is in the thread it only works out to being 30gallon according tto the calculator

I cant for the life of me think of what to put it in it?

Ideas Ive had but its too small are pictus cats and rainbowfish, or clown loach but too small, Ive thought about doing a fish only marine it.... basically I need inspiring please help peeps

Tetras! They would love the lenghth to swim in!

How about something completely different and go with a planted, rocky scape with some roots?

You could stock Zebra Loaches and Chequer or Cherry Barbs...

South american puffers would do well in there.

mmmmm ta for the suggestions but none of that excites me, Im happy with the puffers as they are , Ive got cherry barbs already with otos in another tank and hillstream loaches I like but couldnt have them as a focal point. Id love some dwarf channa or pulchra like I used to keep but cant find them anywhere at a non ridiculous price

Right now they got channa gachua, channa pulchra, assam blue snakehead, rainbow snakehead and golden snakehead, I think thats about it for dwarf species.

Like the idea of Hillstream and mountain minnows and cherry barbs myself Goat. Infact i might just do a small 30ltr river setup myself. I like hillstream loaches, river set ups could probably house botia species too if you loooked into it.
