i have a cube tank it is aqua start 320, im going to heavily plants it, would add some drawf puffers but already have a tank of them, and was wondering what i could have (not a shoal of tetras) that is something different but wont outgrown the tank, i have betta tanks so dont want another one, give me your ideas, its heated with a undergravel filter

Firstly, undergravel filters and planted tanks really don't mix. You'd be much better off with a internal filter such as the new U series from Fluval.
As for fish, I'd go for Sparkling Gouramis Trichopsis pumila

okay thanks for the tip of the filter i will keep that in mind, might change it when it comes round to starting the tank up and all.

those fish look really different but pretty, never seen them before, look something like a betta but different again. Thanks for that,

any more ideas on stocking.

Have you seen Normans Lampeyes (killifish)? They might work as they stay pretty small and look amazing in a shoal.

i have heard of kilifish never kept them or had a good look at the different ones i could have, thanks will look on google now :D

i dont like guppies or endlers to be honest, what something different thanks for idea though

also lampeyes are nice but i have some in my main tank

Rainbow fish, corys, shrimp, danios, Rasboras, Spotted Blue Eye Pseudomugil gertrudae, Dwarf Gourami, Mollys, Rams

i was thinking about some shrimp and rams, but how many of each could go in there no problems, and what type of rams would you say was alright ?

Blue rams grow to 3" (I think),so a 320 is 28ltrs.............would say 2 blue rams and 6 amano or ghost shrimp. Would shy away from cherries or crystal shrimp, small enough to be a snack.

Personally I'd say no rams would be suitable for that tank, its too small. 28L is about 7.5 gallons, you need double that, 15 gal minimum for a pair of the smallest rams,

Same goes for danios, they are way too active for a tank that small.

How about looking at microrasboras such as the galaxy rasboras, also known as the celestial pearl danio I believe.

If you wanted corys, I'd also look at one of the pygmy species such as habrosis, hastatus and pygmeaus.

so ramns it out the questions, okay thanks,
