What To Do With Qt?

Hi, i have a QT which i bought for an ill fish, he sadly died. now i have an empty tank, what should i do with it?
i could just take filter media and the water and wait till i need it again
or i could leave it as and put my betta or gourami in and take them out when needed
which do you think would be best? (its a 25 liter cube)

If the filter media is a sponge. I would clean it thoughly and then put it in the filter of your main tank.(if it's large enough) This way you can drain the QT tank and not have expense of running it and then if needed you can just remove the sponge bung it in the qt filter and have a fully cycled qt tank instantly.

I agree, to save on electric I would add the sponge to the main tank to keep the bacteria up, the when needed add tank water to the cube and the sponge and you have a fully cycled tank pretty much!
Athough if the electric isn't an issue you could make a lovely scape and add your betta

Thanks i've just shut it down until i need it next need it, i couldnt be bothered with another tank to change the water in
