Hi there!

Perhaps I wasn't looking hard enough, but after going through most of the the forums and discussions - I have yet to discover an actual discussion on what could possibly done with old, unwanted, fish tanks.

For example, I have an old - 1.5 gallon LED Aquarium Kit from Tetra and I haven't the slightest idea as to what to do with it. Any suggestions?

Well they're tiny little tanks, they're not all that good for keeping fish in, but they do lend themselves to a variety of other uses.

A dry terrarium would spring to mind, a few cactus or succulent plants for instance.

you could sell it online and make some money although it might not be much. but that is pretty much it

I'm with DrRob a small terrarium would be good

Small terrarium could be cool to harvest plants!
You could also use it to harvest brine shrimp or something..

Ahhh, now that's a fair point, I have a similarly sized tank sat on a windowsill growing daphnia. Culture has been going for about 2 years now.

yea im looking at growing snails for pea puffers with a simelar idea
