If they are egg sacs do I need to move them to my smaller tank (empty) until they hatch ?

Hope you can help with this !

Looks like your two platy's are pregnant either that or they are bloated. As for the weird egg-sack think it looks like your right. However, I would also wait in till another more experienced member replys. Welcome as well.

Yes... your platies are pregnant.. (1st one has less than 2 days to go.... 2nd one about 5 days)..... And that (whatever it is, ...does not come from your fish)

Thanks for the answer !

How the hell do you know the days left ! OMG !

With the days left you have provided, would now be a good time to move the platies into my smaller fishless tank ?

Yes, would probably be a good time to move them assuming the filter on the smaller tank is cycled of course. WD (agree with Ludwig.. would probably get that white thing out of my tank!)

Sorry.... the bottom one could even be 6 days...... But, when you say smaller tank.... please, not a breeding trap for Platies...... (will deliver dead fry)..... and if it is a normal smaller tank...... ensure that it is heavily planted with Hornwort or Cabomba..... the lady will eat her own fry if she can get to them....(if you have it available..... feed her live mosquito larvae or Daphnia)

No idea either either what that white stuff is

That plant with the red edges is not aquatic though and needs removing before it rots.

Welcome to TTF :)

Yep i agree both platys very close to dropping :good:

And haven't got a clue on the white mass is...???

Small tank is 1' x 1' x 1'. Been runing empty for about 3 months so should be ok, although I have no plants in it.
Maybe I should put a trap in at the bottom ?

Bought it from the same shop I bought the other plants from.

Can you Over plant an aquarium ? Was looking to get a few more.

Also got a guppy I think is pregnant also.

Wouldnt keep still long enough to get a clear photo though.

It is impossible to over-plant a tank. This is one of the healthiest tanks I have. I could not plant it that densely manually but the plants have filled themselves in quite nicely and the fish love swimming through their "forest" of plants.
