Hi all in about 6 weeks i am going to go away for a week so there's no rush but it hit me today in my tank there is 8 neon's 7 harlequins 5 corys  and 1 plec for the othere fish i just stick a food pyramid in but what am a going to do about the plec and there will be no one able to come and feed it during the week

i also was wondering what else can i feed my plec all he eats at the moment is algae wafers i have never tried him with anything else

Thanks Matthew

fish can last upto 10 days without food, its actually good to miss a days feeding, in the wild they dont get fed all the time

I'd drop an algae tablet in the tank on the day I leave.  And I'd add an algae tablet on the day I return.

I assume you have your lights on a timer, so that they can come on and off while you are away.  This will enable some algae to grow in the tank while you are away and he can continue to graze on the entire tank to find food.  Forcing a plec to work in the tank is actually quite healthy for them.

I would hope that there is some driftwood (since I don't know what type of plec this is).  Some plecos MUST have wood in their diet to aid digestion.

Thanks all i think i will give the wood a try and i believe it a sailfin plec
