what cause parasite?

I am new to the forum. I did some search but couldn't find the answer here. Anyway, my goldfish has lice and I am wondering what is the reason that cause parasite?

Welcome Bubble.

Fish lice are pretty nasty from what I've read about them before.

I would go to your lfs and get some medication and use it per the directions. Treat the whole tank.

Also make sure and keep an eye out for secondary infections as these might arise.

The reason for the cause could be a new addition. Whether it be a new fish or plant from an infected aquarium.

I've heard some say they got it from adding daphnia (I think) into their setup.

It might come to the point where you'll have to pull them off yourself with tweezers.

i took them off by my hand in the last 2 days and they keep coming back. I just stop by petco this morning and bought parasite clear and drop them in the tank. Will see how it goes in the next 24 hours.

Also, one of my other gold fish have a small red dot like pimple

What is that and how to cure it?
