I'f you'd brought me with ya !!!

You'd 've got the trailer for free...
Trailer is included for what it is worth. It has four large tires, all flat and dry rotted. With luck I can tube them and the dry rot does not spread itself on the about the road on the way. I will junk the trailer once home and mount the beast in a cradle in an old, dilapidated barn that is unused.

However, you are invited to the next auction adventure if you can clear the border. 😉

Bending this new bow. Pulling 35 pounds at 8”. My goal is 55# at 27”. So far so good.

I found this sorry-looking apple-looking terrarium at a shop the other day and decided to try my hand at terrarium building.. I definitely need to go foraging for a lot more plants & moss. Also who would have guessed that aquarium hardscape would have other uses 🤷‍♂️

Beautiful day today, touched 70F at about 2PM,

After yet another Linda DR appointment, (that burned much of the morning), I began cleaning what I could of the pond without draining water. Wrapped a plastic lawn rake if burlap and "raked" the dead leaves that could be reached with it and pulled them out. Went fairly well for a cobbed instrument of destruction and I removed perhaps 2/3 of the debris. The process clouded the water pretty good, so I followed up by running the flush system on the bio filter while also running the garden hose at the same time. The majority of the floating cloud was removed and by dinner the water was clear again. Next warm day will be for draining to about a foot, removing fish we do not want, cleaning the bottom and sides then rearranging the rock formations. Of course I will refill it! It will then be ready for a smallish predator fish.

Of course, the springlike temps are due for another change tonight, not drastic but rain and temps in the 40'sF. The next two days will stay there and then a gradual warming trend. The North Country weather gods do not want to spoil these old bones with consecutive warm and sunny days.

Linda cleaned the pond house with her single working arm and a couple of stiff pain pills. She has gone into mother hen mode in view of the upcoming surgery. As I write she is manufacturing a double load of fur baby food thinking I am unable to do so. She forgets the formula is mine and I used to do the project weekly. She is making a three-week batch for the freezer, boneless chicken, beef heart, liver, beef kidney, beef tongue and a pork roast. After these are cooked in goes rice, carrots, green beans, and a vitamin mineral supplement. I swear the mutts eat better than I do.

Tomorrow I will be painting walls.

Mrs. Badger and the Badgerling are on their way back from music festival. She scored superior ratings on her flute solo, vocal solo, and vocal duet. This after a grueling week of the school play and a case of food poisoning on Saturday and Sunday! She showed some real courage, in addition to her musical prowess, and I'm proud of her.

Today I washed the stairwell walls and ceiling, did a couple of minor repairs, removed the trim and banister and placed plastic over the treads. I also removed about a dozen and half pictures, diplomas, and a large painting. Then carted the Gorilla ladder from the shop and set it up on the stairs. Proceeded to paint the walls and ceiling then put the trim and banister back where they belonged. The trim went back easy because I marked each piece as to where it went as I removed it. Entire job took about 7 hours. Went a lot faster six years ago when I last did it.

"Ah, but I was so much older then
I'm younger than that now"

Although that is not true, I found myself singing the song as I painted. --

The color went from a mellow yellow to a bit more bold yellow so only one coat was required.

I forgot to say I went for a bone scan this am. No big deal, we talked my NFL Eagles & his loser Jets :D . Then onto library, drug store & grocery. Now we're having music. Dinner will be later after some fun dancing, we haven't had that in a while!

Bitter day -- high winds and high 30F, a 30-degree change from yesterday. Slow warming through Sunday though. Spring will be sprung from winters jail eventually.

We took advantage by taking naps, shooting darts (Linda won), a game of three corner billiards, (I won) and playing Scrabble, (Linda won by 3 points). I plan on arm wrestling after dinner to tie the days score. I will insist she use the damaged arm.
