What are you cooking?

We had mashed potato soup with extra carrot & TJ's spanikopita.

LOL! I just never know what I'm going to eat until the last minute. Thawed out a stuffed chicken breast and it was the plan. Right now an omelet with sausage, onion, bell pepper shrooms and cheddar cheese is almost done.

If I have to take it out of a box or wrapper and throw it in the microwave, it's cooking.
I'm no Gordon Ramsay. I avoid disappointment by keeping my expectations low.

I'm working up to chicken chow mien. I need my DJ husband to play MY music while I chop a ton of veggies.

Maybe a menu change. My DJ is MIA & it's getting late. I may bail & make spaghetti from the freezer. I'm having hunger pangs NOW!

I'm finally making chicken chow mien stir fry...but my DJ seems to be taking a long break just as I'm getting to the finale. I want to say "get your butt back here now!" but I'm trying to be nice...Always difficult at these times.

@Back in the fold Chili is good but with PBJ? NO! Really, I don't like jelly messing up my PB. I like it straight with coffee on toast or some soups & on crackers. Plain crackers w/chili maybe, jelly is not acceptable except on plain toast

You may not like what I say but, you are cooking good food. Since you are doing the cooking do what you want. If another does not want what you make let them cook for themselves.

I'll likely do grilled sirloin tips but just for myself. May or may not be BBQ. I don't do 'parties' anymore as I have become pretty much a hermit.

Last time I did a football party thing was several years ago on Thanksgiving. Invited a couple of guys in my apartments that I thought friends over for dinner and football. I did the full thing with turkey and all the sides. After eating bunches they both said they had to leave to watch games with friends. One guy actually knocked on my door later wanting "his share" of the pumpkin pie. Keep in mind that neither supplied or even offered to bring anything. I have not done such a dinner since.

I’d like to say that I’m surprised and that people aren’t like that but I can’t . People ARE like that and will give you the business and then act all offended if you don’t like what they did . So , yeah , that’s why I’m pretty much a hermit too .
