What are you cooking?

They had a sale on lobster so guess what I’m having for dinner.

If you guessed lobster rolls, you are correct.

Made with mayonnaise, lemon juice, and lettuce on hot buttered rolls. I also had corn on the cob. YUM!

We had Italian marinated chicken sauteed, mashed potatoes & corn on the cob last night. Leftover chicken & potatoes for my brunch. Tonight it's a new batch of doctored baked beans with enough left for the freezer, & hot dogs.

Tacos tonight! Leftover meat with black & pinto beans from the freezer. Husband washed lettuce & I grated cheese. Husband is doing some kind of layered hard & soft shells held together with canned refried black beans. I'm going with a flour tortilla, maybe 2 & sour cream. A low effort yummy dinner :)

I made grilled chicken and spaghetti. For the sauce, I used my favorite jarred sauce...Bertolli tomato and Basil made with olive oil. I added halved black olives to the sauce. Hit the spot!
For dessert: cherry pie and ice cream.

ArGGG! ;) I was all set for a bacon cheese burger but am missing buns, cheese and such. If I had ordered right away I could have had the delivery this evening but I spent some time adding stuff. By the tie I was done adding it was too late for a delivery today. Grrr. ;) LOL! Guess what I'm having tomorrow.

Actually I'll be having burgers for quite a while with other stuff mixed in. I'm just over loaded with Omaha Steaks burgers right now with at leas a dozen. No a problem for me to have burgers as I like. The onion rolls I ordered from my grocery is an 8-pack so I can easily take down the burger count.

We had cheese steaks with Philly baseball last night. Salad for lunch with fruit afternoon snacks today to make up for leftover cheese steaks tonight.

I had orange chicken with rice. I was at the local senior center yesterday and just as I was leaving, they brought out prepared dinners from a local premium grocery store. Grabbed one and I had enough for two dinners and it was delish.

I'm having depression-era food tonight: corned beef hash. And yes I like Spam, and you-know-what on a shingle. I'm a modern guy but my stomach lives in the past.

Fried corned beef hash, yes! SOS not so much. Spam, well, I haven't hated it every rare time, if fried. A club guy makes what looks like raw Spam sushi rolls, just NO! Might be a cultural tradition? Luckily he doesn't attend often but I do miss pot luck meets, Covid ruined those :(

We had ham & fried potatoes last night. Burgers tonight, I'm going with my very old traditional deluxe: tomato, lettuce & mayo. No onion or anything else but sprinkle of salt.

Chili from the freezer & fresh corn muffins. I was all set to make a new batch of chili but husband found 1 in the garage freezer. Talk about easy cooking! Just as well, we had our baseball on tv, but we lost :(

My local supermarket has a late summer sale on Maine lobsters which I find hard to resist. So the menu this evening will be lobster served on hot buttered hot dog buns with mayo, lettuce, and lemon juice. Mashed potatoes and a veggie side will accompany the lobster rolls.
I’m salivating just thinking about it.
