So here's my setup so far! More stuff to be added! Have to buy new bracket for the filter.. typical. Or is it OK to just sit on the gravel! Dunno if this will effect function! Also flat Jerry built and water lines not straight. Will update!!

Looks nice!  Have you run stockings/panty hose over the rock and stump to make sure they are "fin safe"?   Anything that will tear stockings/pantyhose will tear betta fins.  As far as the filter, what kind of filter are you talking about?  The only ones I know of that are ok to set on the substrate are sponge filters and most of the time, they are made to set on the substrate.

Yeah the rocks molded plastic! The filter is a fluval 2 plus! Thanks for ur help

Huh that is not the type of sponge filter I was talking about but now I see what you have.  If there are not any vents to suck in water on the bottom, then it might be ok to sit on the substrate although the little spray bar type thing may not work the best if it is sitting on the bottom.

Yeah I got a larger tree stump which I'm going to get a large plant to put behind to flow up the back and over top on the water aswell as more plants I'm planning to get!

Another update! My rockery would have looked better than the stump but didn't wanna risk it! Smaller stump to be suctioned to the back!!!
