I'm not sure just 3 danios together is a good idea, they need a shoal of 5 or more.

If I remember correctly its a 20 gallon tank you have right? If so 4 pitbulls is really pushing it I would say 2 max - then as a general stocking idea I would go for

3 Sparkling Gourami
6 Cherry Barb
6 Harlequin Rasbora
6 Pygmy Gourami
2 Pitbull Plec

The schools of barb/rasboras can be changed for the other schooling fish but personally I think those fish are the best suited to that size tank, danios are too active for a 2 foot tank also the tank is a bit too small to have 2 (or three depending on how you judge the plecs) bottom dwellers. Also avoid the blue rams as they are not suited to life in a general community tank they need a higher temperature and lower ph than the other fish in your lists.

Neither - I would have the rasboras and barbs in bigger groups, fewer plecs and I would only get the rams if I had soft water and a low pH, and fish that didn't mind very warm water. I also wouldn't have danios in small groups. I wouldn't put three groups of bottom feeders in a tank unless it was huge.

How about:

12 harlequins OR 12 cherry barbs OR 6 of each
6 kuhli loach OR 8 pygmy cory OR 6 other corys
1 pitbull pleco
3 sparkling gourami

A, rams are great show-fish for smaller tanks. you might want to go with bolivian rams though if youre new to the fish world, theyre much less demanding in terms of water quality.

personally, i think you should choose either cherry barbs or rasboras. mixing schooling fish in small numbers might seem like a cool idea for variety, but after trying it out a number of times, i think it looks somewhat strange and unnatural. the fish will be healthier and more comfortable in larger numbers as well.
