For a relaxing tank (if there is such a thing) stocking is paramount
All the water levels should be filled/occupied
I always had great success with the following stock

Marble Hatchet Fish
Cardinal Tetra (very large shoal)
Black Phantom Tetra (contrasts with the cardinal colouration) or Black Widows but Phantoms are way better.
Ottocinclus
Dwarf Corydoras
Amano Shrimp.

What size tank is this?

EDIT: I have a 10 gallon tank that I want to heavily plant.

What do you have in relation to light and Co2 for this tank?

-FHM

no one. how pathetic
Pretty much the post had run it's course
whats that mean?

this is how im going:
animals (in order of stocking)
-100's of cherry shrimps
-4 black-widow tets
-6 panda cories
-15 cardinal tets
-4 emperor tets
-2 angels, 1 koi, 1 wild
-2 blue rams

plants (in order of stocking)
-Java Moss on driftwood (centerpiece)
-2 or 3 amazon swords (accents to centerpiece)
-a dozen or so micro-swords(foreground forest)
-a dozen or so ???(background jungle)
-2 or 3 Roseafolia(red accents to background)
-1 hornwort ("Big Tree" of the background jungle)

now i have a few Q's:
1.what should i have as the "???"-it must be something green, no leaves, moderately tall, and from the amazon.
2. Am I overstocked? i will try to use an aquaclear 110, which is the next size up from the reccomended kind.
3.is there any special type of lighting needed or can i just go 3-4 WPG in Normal Output fluerescents?
4.what brand should i go with for CO2, fertilizer, and peat moss (for acidity)?
