Ah thanks, been a while, changed it round since I last used it.

Update on the room, I had a bit of a disaster the day before yesterday. My 200 Gallon cracked. Found water everywhere in the garage and the tank only half full. Complete disaster, meant I have had to move everything out the 4x2x2, 100 gallon, which was heavily planted with tonnes of smaller fish. Distribute those fish into other tanks temporarily (some aren't compatible), and then put the big fish in the 100 gallon. Not ideal as the Knife alone is nearly 2ft. an the Gar an Dat not far off 20 I wouldn't have thought.

I will try an upload some pics now

Ok, think I can do this through my phone so will try An add a few pics

This is the 200 before the change

Looks all good, so much easier through Tapatalk actually.

I will begin by basically repeating the post of pics from earlier. This is how I got the garage looking before the broken tank.

This is the new stand I've just built for the 12ft tank.

Hopefully this gives an idea of the layout. All stands built around the walls so the tanks run the length of the garage. It's not a show room as you can see, but I like it, an hopefully can make the fish comfortable too.

I will update the individual tanks I have next, with the fish in them

So this is the 200 gallon an it's occupants. I'm off to pick a 6x2x2 to replace the broken tank now, so will be slightly different

So I picked up the 6x2x2 An had a busy couple of days setting it up. Once set up An the fish were back in, I then decided to completely rescape An have a good clean out of the 100 gallon planted they had been residing in.

Back in a proper tank. 6x2x2. I've since updated the lights

I've gone for a bit more focus on the wood, An strummed the plants down a lot. I'm expecting them to fill in a lot over the next few weeks tho.

So I thought I'd try An do a little breakdown of the 100 gallon tank.

It's an Aqua Medic Percula 120, biwfront. 100 gallons, with a sump running down the back of it. I have filled the dump with bioballs and some sponge filter. There are hundreds of Cherry Shrimp in there, which I find let's me be a lot more flexible on cleaning the balls. They tend to do it for me. I also have a home made filter sponge running and a all Pond Solutions 2000EF+ running. The return pump from the sump is a 2700, so plenty of filtration going.

The occupants are;

Group of 10 mixed Rainbows
4 Marbled Hatchet Fish
2 River Hatchet
1 Red Tailed Black Shark
1 male Super Red Apisto
2 Female Double Red Apisto
2 female Bolivian Rams
Breeding pair of Nanocheomis transvestitus
5 x Bronze Cories
6 x Adolphoi Cories
5 x Albino Cories
3 x Venezuelan Cories
5 x Peppered Cories
1 x Panda Cory
4 x Sterbai Cories
1 x Crying Whiptail
1 x standard
1 x Twig Catfish
3 x Ottos
2 x Rabbit snails
6 x Geophagus Pindare

Sounds like a lot writing it down actually, but you'll see as I post pics now, plenty of room An it's massively over filtered

So went out today to check on the new Geophagus Tapajos I bought yesterday. I'd had to move my lobster to a new tank to accommodate them. This morning there was no sign of the lobster, spent 15 mins looking for him then had to leave for work. On my way out, something caught my eye in the corner by the doors.

Turns out he's fine, doesn't seem to be any ill effects. It's the second time he's escaped now, the first time he was put the tank for 2 days before I found him. This time just overnight.

I see you use a Bio Pro canister filter, I have 2 and am very happy with them, one even went thru a flood and still works.

I love the big fish.

I have about 5 of these filters now. I am a little mixed on them tbh. They are ok once set up, however, any time they need priming, it's a nightmatre, it's a real struggle to get them going again, not sure the flow is as powerful as they say either. I only ever buy the 2000lph ones. They do a job for the price. I just put all my own filter pads in too, I get rid of everything that comes in the trays. Going to add a lot of Alfagrog too this week once it turns up, ordered a lot of it.

Yes they can be a bit of a pain, but they are cheap and robust.

So woke up An decided to go in An char lol on the fish before work. I looked but couldn't find my lobster anywhere, appears he had escaped overnight, for the second time. First time he was gone for 2 days, found him dried up but somehow survived. This time I found him after just a night, planning his escape just behind the door in the corner. Doesn't seem to like water too much this guy

Is there plans to put him in the pot if he escapes again?

Haha never, love this guy, proper escape artist though, never seems to learn his lesson
