clearly very healthy, but looks a little overgrown in my opinion, some more structured planting could make a huge difference

Thanks, I'm not sure how to arrange the plants, I did recently do a major trim though What do you sugest?

If you want my honest opinion, Looks great but dominated by your plants. Too many and too dense, If you want my dishonest opinion, your tank is perfect.

Very nice fish though :good: :good:

Yea... also got that plant.... grows from a bulb and sends leaves to float on surface, but cannot tell you the name... Agree with others - very healthy overplanted, but beautiful.

I disagree with the swan :sly:, i think the plants look great like that, and i bet the fish love it.

I really do like it to be dense especially in the back of the tank, i hate the blue back ground and was even concidering doing a moss wall to hid the whole background. Thanks for the coment Guppy-Man. I would like the plants to be arranged in groups better. And maybe some more drift wood pieces. The Cherry Barbs really seem to love it, the males even have little territories staked out in the plants and chase other males from their "spots" I'm surpised the haven't bred though. I also am adding Cherry Shrimp next week and all the Dense plants will give them plenty of places to hide and multiply. this is my First planted tank. I'm thinking of doing a 5 gallon betta planted tank too.

Anything I forgot???

I'm a bit confused about this tank tbh!!

I LOVE how its planted but at the same time the plants seem to take over the tank??

maybe a decent shoal of rummy nose or cardinal tetras would solve that problem? with that many plants you could overstock without a problem as long as there was enough room for them to swim!
