Ugh... Ich!

thanks Joby & Jessie, poor lil mite has no tail fin at all now... don't think he'll make it & not sure what i can do for him now, he's got his melafix but all that's doing is making the tank smell nice i think!

Melafix does promote re-growth on fins as well as smelling nice

Sending healing vibes to the little guy :flex:

For ICH I found this stuff called CLOUT. It works in 24hrs and ONE treatment gets rid of ICH. It is so powerful that you can not touch it with your hands you have to push the pill through the wrapper. 1 dissolved tablet cures a 10 gallon tank. Maybe you should see if you can find this at your LFS. It is not expensive and works great.

Sorry to say if he is heavy breathing I don't think he will make it, you might have to think of stripping the tank down, sorry for all your problems, and losses.R.I.P.

Trying to work out whats best for the little guy, is it kinder to remove him now or leave him & see what happens? I'm in two minds as to what to do for the best, he's gulping & glugging like a mad man! I considered taking him out last night but as soon as i put the net near him he shot off to the other side of the tank!!!!

Since there is no way he can infect any others, if he was mine I would give him a chance. Try using eSha 2000, that will help heal the fins as well as treat bacterial infections. Is there enough oxygen in the water? Meds and higher temperatures can reduce oxygen levels.

I wish him (and you lol!) the best, I would love to hear he has pulled through against the odds :)

Thanks Cathy, i hope he pulls through too..... i've got to give him a chance i know.... he deserves that, he's already beaten all the odds that have been stacked against him so far. Hes done so well!
He's got plenty of oxygen in there and the temp is @ 76-78, he's still on the melafix @ the moment but will look into getting something else to try & help him.

Do you clean hands and nets, equipment as that's how desease it passed from tank to tank, you are not having any look at the moment.

More healing vibes coming your way :flex:

Like I said, I ended up getting it in 3 of my tanks but thankfully only my largest one still has it now. Its costing me a fortune in Interpet No. 6!

Got seperate stuff for each tank I can't understand why this is happening to me. To make it worse, as you can see i live on the Isle of Wight, we're moving over to Bournmouth in April & i know the fish won't like the boat ride etc..... i've got to sell all the fish in my sig & start afresh after we've settled in, how can i sell fish with added white-spot!???? -_-

Well, that's my 40g & my 12g with it now! Luckily i've got a hospital tank on the way tomorrow. I'm going on a life saving spree i think!
