Hello! I've recently been looking at orchids from Trader Joe's.
They only list the names of Phalaenopsis orchids, the other orchids are listed as "exotic orchids". they all seem to be epiphytic.
can someone give me a list of epiphytic orchids so I can identify them by leaf/bulb?
Thanks, pictures are very much appreciated

Phalaenopsis and Paphiopedilum orchids grow in the ground in soil

Cymbidium orchids are epiphytes

Some Dendrobium orchids are epiphytes, others aren't.

As a general rule with orchids, if they have bulbs and a few loose roots, they are usually epiphytes (living among tree branches up off the ground).

If they don't have bulbs and do have a normal root system, they live on the ground in soil.
