Its in a 55, with a severum, firemouth, danio, and a spotted catfish

maybe possible but its not at its full potiental but that would take too large of a tank
i still think its a little too small

Get the poor fish a larger tank. Osphronemus gouramies simply cannot be kept in a 55 gallon. It's age deffinately suggests it's stunted. Try doing more frequent water changes for the time being but then, either get a bigger tank, or sell it on.

gimme gimme gimme
i wouldnt mind having your gourami
i would happily accept :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
but its all up to you
actually nevermind
im just gonna ask a friend to find me one at the wholesale place

if it was in a 200g tank it would probably be way bigger.

Even 200 gallons is far too small. You are looking at minimum 450 gallons for giant gouramis.

what would be a good price for him? I change 10-15% monthly.

wowowowoowwoww you change so lil water
is your tank ever dirty?
i have wondered this, i dont think you gourami can be 5 years old
its mouth is still the shape of a baby and its fins are not long at all
i think it still looks maybe 5 months old

If you start doing more frequent water changes, it will probably grow some more... definitely need to be doing more water changes though.

i think its time for you to get a new tank man or just sell it or give it away
6" and 20"+ is a big differnce
your gourami got stunt so much and barely any water changes is amazing that its still alive, unless you have a huge filter, not likely someone would buy a pond filter for a 55 gal
start by making 30% water changes, and what are your water stats?
