To order or not order the ultra 26

My phone is now 6 years old and i'm trying to decide if i should pre-order the ultra 26 or wait another year. The battery is getting weak; they stopped security patches last year but it does have an sd slot something the ultra 26 lacks. They will give me $500 for my 6 year old phone on a trade in so that helps with the cost.

To order or not order these are the things we must decide.

The whole stopping the security patches to render phones obsolete thing pisses me off to no end. Samsungs end-of-life date is usually better than other manufacturers...somewhere between 5-7 years....but still. I want more usage out of something I've paid $1k for that still works perfectly fine.
However....if you're not seeing lack of functionality (like being unable to access your bank account) it's pretty easy to swap batteries.

I believe the security patches are important given a lot of the flaws found over the years. Also with the sealed unit i would have to go to a store to get a new battery not excessively expensive but samsung will give me $500 for my 6 year old phone if i pre-order. More precisely they will reduce the cost of the new phone by $500.
