A JB52, you got a jet plane like nickname... that’s cute as
Lol I guess so  I've got so many nicknames it's hard to keep track. Although some of my friends do call me JB

just expressing my dislike of humans overpopulating and polluting the planet :(
all they do is eat, poop and breed.
hey i understand. i’ve always had a better connection with animals than people. lately there have protests to reopen the country despite danger to people- they are the bad animals. i can give you a bit of good news. the Koala Foundation has had so many requests to symbolically adopt koalas that the limited number of live koalas they can feature are now each being adopted by more than one individual.
i’m going to try to sleep. too many bad nightmares lately. take care.

just realized i was playing your word game from days ago. definitely going to sleep. brain needs charging ;(

Duck weedcan be a problematic floating plant. When fully grown it is often a little less that1/4 ice across. there is a giant form of it but I have never seen it on sail anywhere. So the duck weed you got was probably fully grown. In setups with with a water intake near the bottom of the tank the duckweed can completely cover the entire surface of the tank. And once established in the tank it can be very hard to eliminate. Even if you remove all you see there may be a one or more that are smaller than the head of a pin .

If you want a floating plant I would recommend you try Salvinia minima. When fully grow it typically reaches a size of about 1 inch. There is a larger version that is considered invasive but you generally cannot buy the invasive one. It is large enough to easily clear all of it out of a tank in only a few minutes. it will do well in most aquariums as long as there are enough nutrients in thew water. If it doesn't grow you need to fertilizer the water. It also has longer larger roots (about a inch long) with hopefully is long enough to prevent it from being sucked into your filter. I occasionally give my excess to friend. He feeds it to his post turtles.

thank you Steven. it was a mess to clean the filters of all the duckweed. i’m going to wait until it’s safe to go to the local Petco to buy plants. no shipping costs. thanks for the tip. :)
