Throw Me Your Ideas......

imm closing down my breeding cory and angel tanks to concentrate on 1 large tank 6x2x2 as soon i wont have a garage to keep them all in due to building work etc. im also keeping my planted 55G in the conservatory which contains loaches, discus, cardinals, sae and a spotted perch. so im looking for something different.....
i quite fancy Datnoids but unsure where to get them! i feel with a big tank it would be a shame not to have bigger fish but saying that a huge group of cardinals, rummynoses etc would look superb with some bigger fish. i could always transfer the fish from the conservatory and just leave the discus in there and add more, then build a community around what ive transfered to the 6x2x2.
i know its my choice and i do fancy something a little different than a planted community which i already have.... maybe red bellies or a predator set up
so many choices and its doing my head in, so i would be grate full for your ideas/suggestions.
the tank will be filtered by 2xfx5's so will have great filtration, my tap water is medium/hard and pH 7.8-8.0 although my discus do well! its a brand new tank, new filters etc etc so the choice is endless.....

Severums + Eartheaters = cant go wrong but thats my plans for my 6x2x2

I think a 6x2x2 would work well with dats, they are best kept in a group of about 6 or on their own to spread out aggression. Would look pretty cool to mix them with schools of bared and spotted silver dollars I reckon as well I think they do pretty well with bigger SA cichlids as well like sevs - I think DaveOddballs is keeping some rotkeils with his dats - you could probably look at his tank for possible ideas but I dont think the tank is big enough for rays but not 100% on that so could be worth looking into?

have a big shoal of Piranhas... with cardinals. i know alot of people who have successfully kept larger piranhas with cardinals. i also had neons with mine with no casualties.. as the neons are too small for them to even consider a snack but be aware u may lose some.. i cant remember where i saw a pic but theres one of a piranha tank.. with a large shoal of piranhas and a massive shoal of cardinals in a planted set up

Hmmm... Inside swimming tank! Just kidding. I agree with the severums. I think that a SA cichlid community would be cool. That is what I would go for.
