Thinking Of Upgrading In 6-12 Months

ok im thinking of upgrading in 6-12 months. atm i have a 140L nano tank.
it would be a reef.
i want tangs so what size?
i would like a kole or yellow tang or both?
i do like regal tangs but they may be too big?

i think the biggest tank would be 5 feet but that may be a lot of money. could i have a kole and yellow tang in a 4 foot tank?

I'd go with a 5*2*2 and you should be fine, a custom built tank from someone like Nd aquatics would be cheaper than something else.

get a rio 400 they look great and suetable for the yellow tang and i think the other tang

you could pick one up from 50-180 just depends where you look

yer i was thinking about getting one built for me from my lfs. how many liters would a 5 foot by 2 foot by 2 foot be? and i will have a sump i will convert my tropical tank (100L) into a sump. i would get a rio 400 but the stand is a bit crap for a sump plus the lights will need upgrading. i will be having LED lights

to be honest id say that a regal would be fine in a 5 foot i believe seffie is keeping a regal tang in her rio 400

a 5 foot by 2 by 2 foot will need a lot of live rock so because of its size could i have a bit of base rock for it?

kole tang would be fine in a 4X2X2 aswel. but the 5 footer would give more options for other fish

Goodness, I don't come on here for an evening and look what happens, Our Harry is planning a new tank woo hoo

You can use some base rock but you have to remember it will not add to your filtration so you have to remember that when you are stocking

And Bae is right, I do a have a regal in my rio 400, although he is only the size of a 50p at the moment

A tank that size is going to cost a lot of wonga to set up Harry
