iv been toying with the idea of ordering my next pair or two from over seas for a while now, and have afew simple questions for those of you who have had the experience of using a transhipper...... who have you used, what was working with them like, generally how much does it cost you, and how exactly did you go about setting things up with them?? i get the whole what they do and why so i dont really need an explanation of that. basically im just looking for a walk through of what goes on between you and the transhipper, and an average of how much i should look at spending on the shipping once they reach the us. any sort of explanation is welcome. at this time im just curious.

I trans shipped once from Thailand. Linda Olsen was the transshipper. She is very professional and has a good reputation.

I honestly can't remember the costs. It has been a few years now and shipping costs have changed dramatically. If you chose to buy from Aquabid you are provided with the name of the transhipper on the auction page. You can then contact the transhipper and get a quote and run through from her/him of what to expect. Suffice it to say that you are going to pay big for a fish from Thailand.

If you do this often and get to know the transshipper or for various reasons, you will get bonuses sometimes. But don't count on them.
