Thought i would have a go at one of these journal jobbies.
Right, decided to try Angels again. I'm starting off with a group of 6 and hoping for a pair to form. If this happens then the other 4 will be looking for new homes. I have 5 Koi with a decent amount of pink in them. (I saw some in a lfs today which were labelled as 'Red Angels'??) I believe they are called blushing? I also have a white/platinum Angel which should turn out to be a very nice fish also. I also have 3 Bristlenoses in there from old stocking but unsure whether to keep them as they could eat any eggs that may get laid in the future? What do you think? I noticed that the substrate was becoming littered with debris and uneaten food etc so i have added a small group of 3 Bronze Corydoras to clean things up. May add another 3 or may decide to sell and get a group of 6 Skunk Corys?! Wanting this tank to have something other than just run of the mill fish hence why i chose the Angels with the pink. Also spotted some Copper Harlequin Rasbora's today so may purchase a small shoal of these, but i'm still undecided about other fish aswell. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
They are in water with a ph of 7.2 and seem to be thriving. Feeding well on frozen, Tetra Colour Pro and Tetra Prima. Filtration is currently a Fluval U3 but thinking of upping it to a Fluval 205 to hopefully gain a bit more space in the tank for them. Would like to upgrade to a Roma 200 in the future, but that will have to wait for a bit.
Will update with new pictures and any developments with any potential pairings.
Cheers.
