Hey Loverlies!

Since I'm not getting my new bigger tank I have free reign to get the canister filter. I just heard back about the USED Eheim Pro 2226 for $80 plus $22 shipping for a total of $102. I can get the NEW Rena Filstar XP2 for $101 with free shipping.

I leaning towards the brand new Rena XP2 since I already have a Rena and they'd share some parts but I've always heard how great the Eheims are.

Which one would you get? Any input would be greatly appreciated. I would like to do the deal by tomorrow evening, regardless which I choose.

Probably for the best since I already know the Rena type pretty well and the parts, filter foam, etc. will be interchangable with my XP3.

Yeah I was waiting for someone to buy it! It was a total impulse. I was ordering some ferts and more guppies and it was just so tempting. Yeah but go with the Rena! They're great filters! I still like that marineland though

Yeah it'll go on my 29 until I get a bigger tank, but I'm content at the moment with what I have

My team is the Cowboys! wootwoot! My husband's is the Raiders We are entirely ridiculous over football. Coffee mugs, bath towels, PS3 controllers, you name it.

I usually pull it all out at the end of July It's really embarrassing actually. We have some friendly fights the whole season, and choose the teams we root for in every game based on how it affects the two teams seasons. *sigh*


I wear Raiders clothes if the Cowboys have a bye week, but I don't have to like it

Nah, though Heidi would be funny, there's a chocolate brand they sell around here named that.
Also lol @ Maehila (if that's how you spell my name, which is wrong, it's Meeh-uh-eh-luh and written Mihaela).
How about... Arrista? Astra? Or Astralle?

Of those you listed I'd go with something like Arrie pronounced "Harry" without the "H"

It took me months to name my (2) Honey Gouramis, the sand tank one is "Bully" or "King Bully" since he rules that tank & the one in Zach's tank is "Jewel" or "King Jewel" since he rules that tank. I think I got that name from either you or ManoFish............

It's all good, I had to have something push me one way or the other. Like I said, I'm better off sticking with the Rena filters because of the media, connectors, tubing, etc. being the same for both units. I also don't have to remember how to take 2 different filters apart.

FRom what I've read online the Eheim Pro 2226 is considered a great filter with a good rep. Good luck with it.

I've suggested Jewel back then.

It takes me months to name my fry though (and Sushi was named by someone on this forum in the livebearer section, wish I could figure out who though, it's pretty hard to remember their nick).
Though with Chrome, it was pretty easy. He has a black and white color scheme with a black tiger stripe in the middle, and there was also this background pic in Windows XP, named Chrome.
Pinky - twas the color...
Hoppy got his name due to being adopted by Tzuppy.
Eris really is a goddess of discord.
Bee - from albino.
Cracker - portal 1 ref. "Fish shaped crackers."
Ninja - his looks and barely then his behavior of hiding in the least suspected places.

And Tzuppy got his name because he used to jump a lot, especially at strangers, soaking them wet. LOL.
