My swordtails poop white (or more like yellow) when given dried daphnia. When they eat bloodworm, they poop black. When they eat flakes, they poop pink. o_O

It could just be something she ate. I fed the tanks a load of brine shrimp last night.

Brine shrimp probably are like daphnia, crustaceans. So they'd probably yield same poop color.
 
I certainly don't want to medicate the fish if there's nothing wrong with her.
 
Metronidazole and other internal parasite meds can be slightly harsh on them, make sure you see the stringy poop a few times. I see that sometimes after live foods.

Metronidazole is great mixed with defrosted brine shrimp and you can refreeeze it. Wafers work too. Your supposed to stop feeding all normal foods and give the medicated once a day for a 3-7 days.


I wouldn't medicate until I was sure.
 
Hey Lovelies. Just got home from taking my son to see Brave. First time he sat still through a whole movie. :good: It was cute.
