My hubby's cocktails are 3 shots of rum/ or whiskey and some coke. He has beer more often when football is on. ALL people bow down to the SUNDAY TICKET!


My cocktails are always a shot of something and a blend of something to make it pretty Again: Beer during football.

I mean, look at this thread: Lots of Algae
That second pic algae! I want it! But how do I get something like that? Nobody has answered me in algae section in this thread.

hangovers should be illegal..

take 4 advil, go into the shower, and has a good cry.. that's my cure for the overhangs..

Yes. It looks so fuzzy and green, it might just work as a nice carpet, or background or something.

Yes. It looks so fuzzy and green, it might just work as a nice carpet, or background or something.

I grow algae when I open the shades in my living room.. that's where my tanks are.. sunlight grew algae for me..

my suggestion, fine where that algae comes from, and buy plants from that area.. you might get lucky..

My tank is in my bed room, placed a bit under the window, the back of the tank is lit by sunlight anyway, yet nothing grew there.
My lights (18W) are on for... as long as I'm awake, which is a long time anyway...

There is only ONE place I saw tanks with algae... but I'm not taking the risk of buying anything from that mall... They had BBA which I don't want, it would kill my plants. And they didn't have the algae I want either.
I think I'd need bigger light neons for green fuzzy algae...

Yeah but probably not the right kind of algae. I saw a horrible case of BBA in that mall's tanks, it covered Valisneria all over, it looked like some kind of furry Christmas tree. In black.

But the odd thing was that they didn't even have lights there anyway... so... I don't know how it happened.

Yeah, I don't mess with trying to get "the right kind of algae." Each of my tanks has a cleanup custodial crew meant to nip any algae outbreak in the bud.

Zach's 20 gal tank currently has the most light per gallon & the the only algae issue is green on some of the wood. His cleanup crew is a bit light at just (3) Otos and they're picky algae eaters. The other 20 gallon has a single Bristlenose Pleco and (7) Trilineatus Corys and they keep thiungs quite clean, at least until I get that new light fixture. The 36 gallon has a single female Bristlenose plus (2) Otos, and (2) huge Mystery Snails. Not a sign of algae in that tank whatsoever.
