They must have great deals in the Georgia craigslist!
We must!!! Just last week I saw a 100 gallon full setup with an FX5 for $100. It ended up going for $150 though, as there was a bidding war between me and 2 others. I quit after $125 figuring they'd beat me out of my money's worth!!! Lol. Quite a few crackin deals fall around these parts, but if it does have a light then yeah that's a good deal.

How do you bid on craigslist?

Roflmao!!!!!!! You don't bid, you contact the person via e-mail. You then tell them youll give them x-amount of monies and they say yes or no. Their posting code email with the @craigslist.org at the top by their title will send the email to their actual email ;)

Wasn't laughing at ya just thought it was funny. Haven't you used craigslist before?

Of course I've used Craigslist before! You see a listing & it usually has a picture & a price. You contact them & maybe make a lower offer, but if you're willing to pay what they originally asked for you meet them & it's yours. I just don't understand the bid thing unless the seller specifically said he'd sell to the highest bidder by Saturday at 7pm or whatever.

Anyway, as far as deals go here in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill craigslist, that 46 gallon tank is a stellar deal, best I've seen in awhile. My father & I aren't on speaking terms so it looks like he won't be getting it. I left a message and he hasn't returned my call.

Oh. You just contact him, make an offer, if another person makes one higher, they contact you and you either offer higher or let it go.

Cool, that's pretty much the way I go about too.

It's more like 6 of your tanks FishBlast............it's 125 US gallons or 473 liters!

Wow, nigh on half a tonne of water! :hyper:

It actually weighs about 1400+ lbs. when full according to the tank chart I used.

If dad and I barely lifted this half-emptied 76L when spring cleaning (don't ask, wasn't our idea, it was mom's... fish tanks should never be lifted off their stand) then I doubt we could lift that many pounds... o_O Can the floor hold it?

I would only put a tank that large on a concrete slab floor or I'd have to reinforce the floor from the basement crawlspace. I certainly wouldn't consider putting in a room in the upstairs of the house!

A basement floor should be sufficient, also a upstairs should, but I wouldn't try more than a 55 or MAYBE a 75 upstairs :huh:

Hey lovelies!!!!

Guppy time will never be the same, or so I has heard..

Why not hambone?

My parents aren't sure if I can ' handle' a T5 unit because I couldn't screw a wirenut on while retrofitting my hood. Good god! :angry:

I'm looking at golf carts and golf cart laws. I can drive one around my neighborhood but not on public roads til I'm 16. I'm only going like 1/10 and 1/3 of a mile down a public road so I don't know if it's a big deal.......

@Hambone

What happened to Guppytime?

@Manofish

What on earth are you talking about?

I retrofit the hood on my 8 gallon bowfront (changed the socket so I can have 2 bulbs vs 1 and added a better reflector) and I couldn't screw on a wirenut to attach the wires from the plug to the socket so I asked for help, then today I asked if I could order the T5 unit and my mom said she's not sure if I can 'handle it' because I couldn't screw on a wire nut. :angry:

:rolleyes:

Tell her the T5 comes already setup, just plug & play. Put on yer shades though :cool:
