lol

Hey lovelies!!! I need to get pics of a ton of stuff. I'll post themhere too so all you lovelies can see :)

My yellow pingu guppies are starting to show me genders and I have 1 definite male and 1 definite female, and 1 that I am holing is female, but I think is male :(

Pics please.........

EDIT:

I have to start reading ahead..........

Anyway, great fish you have there! Especially those Rasboras. What kind are they, Harlequins?

To sex your Rams you'll need much better pictures, up close to the anal thingy. The males is longer, thinner & it has a slightly rounded or pointed end. The females is wider and has a flat end.

Judging strictly from the pics they are proabably both males. Both my males are in different tanks and both have less dark markings than the female, which has nicer more distinct patterns.

Hey Lovelies!

I'm watching my second oldest swordie fry, Ninja, adapting to the big tank.
If he does well for 3 days, I will add his younger brother, Sushi, to the main tank. Sushi is just as big as Ninja and looks almost the same, only with less metallic red on his back.

You should never name a fish after a food. That's like naming a cow "Ribeye" or "NY Strip."

It wasn't my idea, someone else named him Sushi in the livebearer section. But it sounded Japanese, and since he follows the ninja pattern too...
If I had a cow, I'd name her Hamburguessa! Or if it were a bull... obviously, Hamburger. For the lulz.

Hey Lovelies!

So here I was, writing something in Office Word... and then my eyes fell on my Dan Spataru mug of water... only to see a yellow spider trying to enter it. I then took the tweezers from my fish tank tools and when I got there at my computer desk... it was gone.

Man of fish, you are taking much better photos these days. If you could get one of the side of the fish, that would help. They are hard to sex from those angles.

Hey Lovelies!

How you all doin'?

Got me a clown pleco today. My first plec. He/she seems happy with my redmoor wood. Also got croaking-supposed-to-be-sparkling-gourami and 2 each of endlers and galaxy rasboras for my 10 gal. It's all go.

I'm off to bed now, my little dude is sick and I'm anticipating another bad night.

Take care! ;)

Glad to hear! I got a new camera, so makes sense! :hyper: this one tells when to flash or not! Much nicer. Will do. I'm trying to sex them myself real quick but if I can't I'll try getting better pics of them.

Good luck with the new fish Fintastic!!!

New fish always make me happy :hyper:

Manofish, Fishfanatic gave me a link to a site with pics of males & females......it was crystal clear which was which. Use a magnifing glass if you have to.

They are espeis. Very nice aren't they?

Judging by that sexing "guide" then the dominant one is the male and the other is the female like I thought.

hey lovelies

i really like Mosquito Rasboras, they are the most gorgeous shade of red! But I can't find them anywhere...not even online....and i cant find espeis either....only harlequins

Bewtween my 3 the most dominant male is easily the largest and he's alm ost devoid of pattern altogether. In fact his name is Polar because he's lightly colored, like a polar bear. Both of the the Rams in Zach's tank are smaller and more detailed with the dark patterns but the female is much prettier and the patterns are darker. I actually studied the pics from theat site FF showed me & I picked a female out of the tank at Petsmart.

Ask her for the link if she can find it..............

Where I got my espeis too. The priority was like $15 (he refunds overcharges on shipping) and they all arrived alive.
