Ah, I can make it out now that you've described it.. typical.

And lets hope he stays small and cute, I had a couple of crabs come in, literally 1mm in length, literally 2 weeks later they were 3-4 cm long and attacking my fish!! So that was bye bye crabs!

Hah, yep that'd do nicely. Well he has to come out sometime if he grows, but hopefully it's a nice small species.

well the clean up crew
are in the diatoms have
died down or off i reduced
my lighting to 8 hrs or there abouts
cuc is two turbo snail and a dwarf
blue legged hermit i have noticed
that since the cuc have gone in
how the algae on the back of the tank
is reducing night by night i also
put another small piece of LR in

That sounds like a good idea, maybe some zoas or xenia for movement, or what about some clove polyps, you would like those :good:

i have some green button polyps
at the moment and there is one or
to others showing up on the LR in
places i will see if i can get
mr biffster to take some photos
of them there very small

i was just wondering
were abouts i should
be with the ph on this
tank its got a reading
of 7.8-7.9 is that were
it needs to be or is it
bit on the low side my
sp/g between .022&.023 salinity 31

If you're having a reef tank then sg should be 1.026 or 1.025. What is your calc, alk and mag? That can mess with your ph too. Also a closed up house has less 02 to put in the tank. That level of ph is just fine as it's consistent and other water parameters aren't out of wack.

no all the others are OK i think
next time i do a water change
i will leave out the plain RO
water and just do it with RO
salt mix when i first put it
together i thought it was a bit
on the high side at 0.25 or 26
so i lowered it a bit i am going
to do a water change this week
so I'll just bring it up a bit
it no bother

thanks for the info

cheers the biffster
