No you can get the ex 1200 for £85 and just turn the flow taps down, £80 ex700 is bad price

You can get them from Ebay for about £65 new, and they usually sell for around £35-£40 second hand.

What size tank are you thinking of using it on?

£70-80 is RRp for them. The 1200 would obviously be a better choice though if you were considering spending £80 anyway.

£70 cost for my ex700, could prob find it cheaper with abit of hunting though.

Got mine new for £60 on Ebay You could always go for a Hydor Prime 30, they can be picked up for around £55-60

got mine for £10 due to leaking through the lift plunger.

made metal plate plunger shaped that bolts on the orginal holes using orginal screws fitted with 3mm thick rubber,job done!! ran it in the bath for a week to be sure,2 years on and still going strong,bargin!!!

Thanks I was looking to use it on a marina 160l when I get it, Ive never done external before so I might get the ex700 on ebay.

Tetratec Ex1200 is your best bet, awesome External Filters, very cheap for what you get. Best filters I've ever used.

Ive got 5 internals in there though, I know its not enough, I will be looking to get an external soon, 5 fluval u4's
