Hi guys,
My ex1200 started leaking on friday but it had been a week since it had been dismantled for a clean.
after doing some investigation and un-doing a few screws i found that the outlet swivel connection which doesn't get moved for six months at a time was leaking in the tap adapter and pumping pressure water into the head of the unit and when full it would leak out of the joint between the plastic cover of the motor head.
This was after i changed the case seal and the tap seals.
4 screws undone in the tap adaptor and I found 2 seals which seal the swivel connections from the tap adaptor lever ball valves. (these close when you open the lever to remove the adaptor from the motor)
After a good clean and relube all seems to be well now for over 24hrs.
These seals are not shown on the spares list!! you would need the tap adapter. I'm gonna see if tetratec will supply these.
sorry it's so long a post but maybe other people will benefit from my little discovery.
cheers.
