Tap Water Ph 7.6, Tank Water Ph 6.0

Interesting... Usually pH goes up after setting for a day or so. CO2 lowers the pH and as it leaves the tap water the pH should go up.

I'll test the tap water again tomorrow that has been sitting out & see if there are more changes. I'm seriously confused.

tap water sitting out for 48 hours tested a ph of 7.2 again, tank ph after adding crushed coral to filter 24 hours ago still tested 6.0 ph.

After adding crushed coral the tank water tested PH 6.5 !!!!

Me too!!!!! Thank you very much for the advice, I can finally exhale a bit and know that my tank can now grow the bacteria needed to cycle.
