iam looking at getting a small tank

Fluval Roma 90 Aquarium
or
Aqua One Aquastyle 620 Aquarium (not extra tall one)

both are listed as 90L

roma 90 states tank size
60 x 35 x 45 cm

aqua one 620 states tank size
L 62cm x w 39cm x h 52cm

they are so far apart on tank size as stated that iam confused to what they are litres wise.

any idea's as ive looked them up on a few sites.

thanks

Having had a look at both tanks I can see where your confusion comes from, I can't say I understand that one myself but I am assuming that the volumes given are the usual fill volumes not the actual volume of the whole thing. Or perhaps one is the fill volume and the other the full volume.

It is usual for tank manufacturers to give the total volume of a tank if you filled it to the very top -- not something anyone does -- so perhaps the Aqua One has given a bit of leeway and given you the actual tank size but only the fill volume. If it's not that then someone, somewhere needs a maths lesson.

Hi the 620tall is 90 litres, the 620 short isn't its approximately 64L. Hope that helps.mi have had the 620 short so this is how I know this. Also so,etimes the manufacturers call a tank a number and it's not necessarily the actual litre size. There is a calculator on this site in the beginners centre which would help you calculate these hope that helps

I can recommend the FLUVAL Roma 90, which is 90L when empty of decor. I have this tank and its a lovely one, would highly recommend it instead of the aquaone 620 the only thing the aquaone has that's in some way better, is it has an external filter system in the his which is easier for maintenance cleaning. However I still prefer the internal filter on the Fluval tanks, they are so quiet you don't hear them at all. The aquaone tank filter was quite noisy in comparison
