Tank Stocking

okay, i have a 240 litre (121L x 55H x 41W cm) , and im thinking about changing my stock as its kinda boring atm lol

right, i was thinking of the following but im not 100%

african knife fish
severum?

any more very interesting fish, something that isnt just the run of the mill fish, such as a knife fish, or some sort of oddball sort of fish

How many severums were you thinking? You could actually do an african knifefish with a pair of severums and be good. That's all you could do in there, though.

240 liters isnt really big enough for regular severums but the mouth brooders or rotkeils could work in there but dont get a pair just do a signleton in tanks this size you dont want cichlids of that size breeding.

To be fair I like mattlees idea of the african tank. But I would do it as more oddballs - Maybe the knife and bush fish with halfbeaks or golden wonder killis - then mabe some hara catfish and some glass catfish as well?

thanks for the replys, although i have taken some ideas from the replys, im more keen on getting some of these fish

the list below shows the fish i could possibly put in the tank and the order goes by which fish i like the most

african brown knife fish
Rope fish
peacock eel
half beaks
bush fish (although i havent seen any in my lfs, but i could ask the staff to have them ordered in)
angel fish
bolivian rams
congo tetras

could anyone manipulate the list as in stating how many and which fish thanks

i have 2 small bushfish for sale if your interested? i bought them but have changed my stocking plans and have nowhere to add them now cracking fish but i just dont think they will handle the large cichlids i intended to put them with when grown up...
