i got this tank from my grandpa but dont know the size the measurements are

30" wide
12" deep
18" high

is this 30 or 29 gallons thanks

Ya it's about that size. I get about 28 US gallons with my rather unscientific method.

That's the standard 29 gallon.

Youll know when you fill it !
Calculating volume is easy - BUT if you put in any rocks and sand etc, this will take up space, and youll end up with less water.... its this lesser amount you need to know, as this is what you need to know for when you add treatments.

I belive the formula is (using feet) length X Width X Height X 7.58 and that gives you the gallons

so for a 30" X 12" X18" it would be 2.5 X 1X 1.5 X 7.58
