Tank Problem Scummy Water Surface

Its been like this for about a week now ( befor i put the rocks in so its not them ) just took out 35L and put fresh back in and it still there!!! i think its the bio max in my U4 fluval thats doing it as if i remember wright it started when i put them in the filter as i keep them out for a week! ( not to sure what i had to do with them!)

Its probably the slime coating that fish have and the fish got rid of their coating to replace it. Or its bits of tiny dirt molecules in the water

Did you clean the tank before use. Also, if you put your hands in the water do you thoroughly rinse them first?

not started adding that yet going to start on Saturday so its been 2 week from when i set the tank up plus I'm getting some used media to!

you tried using a paper towel on the surface then pull it off?
