Woke this morning to hundreds of eggs from the pair, right out in the open on a piece of wood  Why couldnt they have waited one more day, the new tank arrives tomorrow morning - typical, hopefully they can keep the others away for 24 hrs, then I can move them easily.

Pic of parents and eggs :D

Now all happily in their own tank, so no more stress or other piggies eating them.

happy days minxy. bet youre well pleased. :good: i will be once they are a saleable size

Just holding out hope they dont mind the move and carrying on raising these, if not, 3rd time lucky I guess.

But I am very pleased with them, next to Terminator, they are my favourite fish :D

Nelly, they already are in new tank, moved in yesterday before those pics were taken and yes, they are al alone :)

They have hatched! Loads of em, parents moved them over last night to a pre-dug ditch they had been making all day, sat watching for ages, as one by one as each came out of the egg, mum put them in her mouth and moved to the ditch. They are such proud parents, they flair at me when I get too close

Shall give them a feeding of decapsulated brine shrimp today and see how they go :)

How cool ! :good:

What do you do with the fry ?

They are just keeping a close eye on them, occassionally she picks one up and moves it around the ditch, no idea why. But both are still happily watching over their brood :D

Heart stopping moment this morning, looked in the tank - no babies! Done a quick scan of the whole tank to find, they have moved them into the cave now. Fed some cyclops, no idea if they are eating it though.

Some pics of the wrigglers and the parents.

Coconut cave, the grey mass on the right, thats the fry all wriggling around :D
