Not to my knowledge, you sure you have firemouths then, because my Fm looks nothing like them.

This one looks really similar...do they display there throats like fms?

Yes they do, they are of the same genus, ie thorichthys meeki (firemouth), thorichthys aureus and you also have thorichthys ellioti (now ellioti do look similar to aureus). Ellioti are sometimes labeled up as blue firemouths, so maybe thats what you have?

Hey minx the young fry probably still have yolk sacs so wait until they are free swimming to feed them. When you see a cloud of fry beside dad or mom then squirt some BBS or de-cap brine shrimp at them. after that then an orange belly means they are happy lol.

you posted 2 days ago so they are probably very close or all rdy swimming.

today they are out and about free swimming They are sooooo cute and tiny, but growing rapidly, there must be well over 100

Ive tried so many times to get pics, but it just looks like loads of gravel, my camera doesnt get a clear picture, but I shall keep trying, no matter how many batteries I get thru as my camera gives up after 10 shots

Thanks guys, I know I will have to part with them once they are large enough, but I dont wanna, I will probably keep a few but I couldnt possibly house them all, so they will hopefully be off to good homes, Im very attached to them all already
