Swaped Over To Malawis Now

got round to spending LOTS AND LOTS of bloody money, swapping from the oscars to malawis. decided to take a few pics along the way. so here goes.


out with the old fish and took them to myu lfs and got some credit towards new fish.

got 60 kgs of ocean rock and arranged that the started to fill up with water from hose pipe.

thought it would be rude not to have a drink whilse keepin a eye on water level lol

and a few drink later....

and a couple of weeks later brought 17 fish unsure of names but told they were suitable and seem to bee settling in very well.

I'd be wary of buying any fish without doing my own research first, and the name of the fish is pretty important for that.

Looks nice but I'd advise checking what you're buying next time, rather than trusting the LFS.

It looks nice!! Looks like you have some nice fish too.

I'd also find out the names of the fish(if I were you). Then you'd know exactly what you're getting. Do some research and find out. One of the issues w/africans is some eat only protein and some are only herbivores. You can run into issues w/feeding if you mix the two. If you feed certain fish protein, it call kill them w/the bloat.

Also, you can run into a fish that magically keeps growing, and growing and then o crap, it's too big and starts eating some of the other fish. Possible.
