Hey

I was planning on breeding bettas a lot, and expanding my operation, so I went out and got 5 more 10 gallon tanks (good deal, heater and filter included for $10 a tank).

Now I don't feel like it, and I want to try something new besides bettas. Heres what I have to work with:

5x 10 gallon tanks
2x 20 gallon tanks
1x 25 gallon tank.

What should I do? I want to do a bunch of different species at once, and I had zebra danios, white clouds, endlers, cherry barbs, and rosy barbs in mind. Suggestions for something else?

Thanks!

Yeah I think guppies would be cool... Just have to research genetics and stuff... They would probably cost less than endlers which I hear are not cheap at all, if you can find them.

Beware that trying to improve a line of guppies, or anything else, requires lots of tanks for isolating the females from the males, a breeding tank to bring them together and a tank or two for rearing fry. That means that a single breeding project of that nature could easily tie up all of your tanks. I don't want to discourage you, since that kind of project results in all the variety that we enjoy today, but you need to realize how much of a commitment you are making with that kind of project.
