Stock Level And La Ighting Question

Hello, i have 5 silver dollars in a 200l tank + 6 peppered corrys and 10 neon tets. is this tank over stocked?

also the SD's always hide as soon as the lights come on, they are perfectly active when the light is off so i wondered can any 1 recommend a nice low level tube please? its a shame to leave the light off 90% of the time.

Hi I dont think you are overstocked but I think you are fully stocked as the silver dollars will get quite large. But it should be a nice looking tank I imagine. I am unsure of the lighting but you could try surface plants and floating plants to dull down the light that reaches the tank, silver dollars are known to be skittish and there are some people that keep the well on here so they might be able to help you out better.

Floating plants will help. If you have live plants you can't really do less watts. Maybe if you can put the light higher over the tank so it's not right in their face. They are schooling fish so when not kept is large groups that can get a bit skitish but you have a good number of them so it should not be that big of a problem. If they are still young that could be it once they grow a bit they will get braver.

Keep the lights on they will get use to it they have to.
