Starting again 2

if they are really 3" i think they must be mutant killer neons bred to take over the world. :) ive never seen them over 1" even as adults.

3" neons?! Wow :hyper: :hyper:

Congo tetras - the cool thing about them (if they're like neons) is that they're low waste producers so some don't count them as a "full" fish.

I know, just scrap the characin idea altogether and get more cories :p

Yeah who doesn't love cories  But I really do want a nice school of tetras. Yup, I know it's unbeliveable but there really are huge neons in that tank. It's a 75 gallon uhhhh... can't really say bowfront, it's more like a wave-front because half of it is convex and half is concave. It's heavily planted and looks really ccol. It also has a school of rummy-noses and rainbows.

Yeah, I've seen those wavefronts. I think they're cool, but not worth the extra money.

So - are you going to chance the small tetras/rasboras or go for the Congos?

I'll have to think about it. Congos are cool but they do take up more space and and are somewhat of a rarity in my area. I think I remember seeing some a while ago but I'll have to look again. I might have to go with the rasboras.

Well, the deed is done. I love my LFS. They took back all the fish (excluding Charlie, of course) and gave me a nice discount on a 50 lb bag of sand and some new filter media. currently I'm dumping the old gravel and scrubbing the tank really hard. :fun:

Did you go for ammonia?

Not yet. don't worry I won't use it unless I know it is safe.

I am saying, do you live shaq's mansion or something. Go look, see if it is correct, then you can get started right away, you have alot of work to do ;)
