So you knowingly walked out of a store with something you hadn't payed for?
but its not like he dident attempt to pay for it. if he didnt look at the receipt/ dident add it up as he went around then he would not of know he was undercharged for it

Yeh its happened twice to me the second time written above and tge first time i didnt know till a month later when i looked at the recipt lol

But they did have two offers on 3large plants for £10
And 3 small for £5 so i prob got small plants altho they where about 15cm long meh nm this was about 6 years ago lol

I think its safe to assume he knew he was being undercharged if he "ran out the shop".

Crazy, some of the people in P@H don't look the brightest mind you

Doubt it would ever legally count as stealing, just think its really dishonest.

Everyone makes mistakes, i know i do and some people own up and when they do, if its something small then ah well, its my mistake and never mind and i appreciate their honesty and will remember it...

Personally, i wouldnt do it, far too honest i suppose... if i get undercharged i will point it out... normally people dont bother doing anything about it anyway but i prefer to feel honest rather than smug at someone elses mistake and misfortune.

"A person is guilty of theft, if he dishonestly appropriates property belonging to another with the intention of permanently depriving the other of it; and "thief" and "steal" shall be construed accordingly".

I'll just leave it at that.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I don't see the fuss he didn't go into the shop intending to steal and he didn't steal, it was a mistake made by the P@H staff so im sorry IMO its tough mistakes happen but the staff need to learn to look out for these things a little more.

Just remembered, the same PaH that charged me for dog treats I didn't buy also tried to charge me for three clown loaches instead of three otos and made me unwrap them from the brown bag to prove it!

If a big chain shop is down a few quid because a cashier didn't pay attention, big deal, life goes on. it's not worth bashing each other over the morals and ethics of it.

Exactly works both ways :good:

i agree there. its a different matter if its a small private shop though

In a quieter environment they're less likely to make mistakes - and they know they can't afford to anyway!

Once I was buying gasoline tanks for my grill and 2 little doors opened instead of 1. I took both but the 1 was empty anyways so I just returned it.

I think seperating LFS and chains is like saying its ok to steal from supermarkets but not corner shops? Bit of a bizarre opinion i think.
