They are in a mood tonight. 4 out of the 6 in particular are hanging out around my large piece of driftwood, under a couple of the lily pads and are circling/croaking/displaying like crazy.

The other fish are pretty interested in what is going on...Especially a few of the rainbows and Pip, the juvi angel. Pip likes checking out everyone who comes near the tank and often winds up in the photos/videos.

Taken from my phone.

Wow! They're fantastic! I'm going to be getting 4 or 5 for a blackwater biotope in the next few weeks! How much time do they spend near the surface? My tank doesn't have a cover so I'm worried about them jumping.

They are lovely. Pip was trying to bring law and order I think :)

They go all over the tank - top, middle, bottom - they think they own it! I don't cover my tank and the water is nearly to the top and I have never had a problem with them jumping out.

They are in a 72 gallon with 7 discus, a juvenile angelfish, a german blue ram, a betta, 6 threadfin rainbowfish and 6 sterbai corydoras.

They feed just fine. I use a feeder cone when feeding bloodworms and they will go right up and suck the worms out beside all the other fish. They are usually one of the first ones up looking for flake at dinner time too.

I've trained my betta to come up to the surface when I knock on the tank cover :)
